I am a 32 year old IT/internet support technician and technology enthusiast, with a growing passion for the outdoors. I enjoy spending quality time with my family, vacationing in the mountains, and occasional outings with friends. I keep a very small, but strong circle of people around me. I have been very family oriented my entire life, and hold them in high regard to this day. My dreams for the future consist of owning my own property, starting a small organic farm, and being able to support myself and my local community with that farm as much as possible. In the words of the late and great Agatha Burgess: “Ive always wanted to live in a house by the side of the road, and be a friend to man.”
I am typically a private person, so I don’t tend to be very public about what Im doing on a daily basis (another reason to ditch social media), but I am trying to change that, because why shouldn’t anyone get the chance to know me better! I feel that I would describe myself to be an “extroverted introvert” in the sense that I am a wildcard in terms of my attitude and personality, but would only display that if it feels appropriate in the moment. Otherwise, I am naturally reserved. This is not to say that I can’t be personable with anyone, or have issues communicating. I have always been a warm and pleasant person to talk to, and have never had trouble conversing with anyone. I have been told that I can carry a very intelligent and intellectual dialogue. I treat everyone that I meet with kindness and compassion for their purpose, and what they have come to me for matters the most to me in that moment. Whether it’s just swinging by to say hello, needing to vent or talk about something important in their life, or if they need help tending to a chore or task, I am always willing to give my time for whomever shall ask of it.
Learning about computers with the purpose of being able to show and teach others less knowledgeable about them has always been a strong skill of mine. Therefore, it would make sense that my career would be in the passion that I grew up in. A major part of my career outside of high school has mainly been focused on working on internet infrastructure for rural and commercial areas of my home state. The company I work for has been instrumental in providing fixed wireless internet to the rural communities since the late 90’s, and is continuing to innovate by expanding our portfolio into solutions which directly involve AI and networked IoT for improving commercial processes, and deploying solutions that exceed the expectations of today’s tech needs. I continue to stay abreast of the tech innovations of today and tomorrow, and aspire to learn the most about it so that I can continue to enthusiastically inspire others to embrace it.
